Tim Powell.

Tim Powell advises employers on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including issues of hiring, discipline, and discharge; discrimination and retaliation; leaves and accommodations; wage and hour; non-competition agreements; employee handbooks; employment contracts; and severance agreements.  He represents clients in proceedings before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including state human rights commissions, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Prior to joining The Bennett Law Firm, Tim was an associate at the Massachusetts law firm Bowditch & Dewey, LLP, practicing labor, employment, and higher education law.  Tim has published several articles with national and regional media outlets on current topics in employment law, including workplace bullying, age discrimination, sexual harassment, and non-competition agreements.  Tim holds a B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Colgate University and a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he served as Note Editor for the Boston University Law Review.
