SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- PETER BENNETT, a Portland, Maine attorney who specializes in the representation of management on matters of labor and employment law has been elected to a two-year term as Secretary of the Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. Bennett is President of The Bennett Law Firm, a Portland, Maine firm which specializes in representing management throughout the Northeast on matters of labor and employment law. Bennett graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and received his law degree and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Boston University where he serves on the Law School’s Executive Committee and Alumni Association as Immediate Past President. He is a Vice President and Director of the International Society of Primerus Law Firms. He is also active in several other bar and civil organizations. The Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association is the only national bar association dedicated to the balanced representation of plaintiff’s attorneys, defense attorneys, insurance and corporate counsel. The Trial and Insurance Practice Section has over 30,000 members and is actively involved in legal education and initiatives to improve public access to equal justice. The Trial Section is also one of the American Bar Association’s oldest and largest sections. Bennett is very active in the Association’s activities having just finished a three year term on the Section’s Board and speaking on Association national legal education programs approximately twenty times in the past twelve years. Bennett, his wife Sandy and daughter Haley reside in Cumberland Foreside, Maine. |
