PORTLAND ATTORNEY ELECTED TO AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION SECTION
OFFICERS CONFERENCE TWELVE MEMBER EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
PORTLAND, MAINE -- PETER BENNETT, President of The Bennett Law Firm,
P.A., has been elected to the twelve member Executive Committee
of the American Bar Association’s Section Officers Conference for
the 2005 Bar Year. The Section Officers Conference is a federation
of the American Bar Association’s Sections, Divisions and Forums,
which meets to advocate the collective interests of the Sections.
Additionally, the Conference considers and acts upon matters of
concern to the Sections, and also promotes communication, cooperation
and coordination within the ABA. The Section Officers Conference
represents the approximately 250,000 ABA member lawyers who belong
to the various substantive law sections of the American Bar Association.
Peter Bennett is President of The Bennett Law Firm, a Portland,
Maine based law firm which specializes in representing management
on issues of employment and labor law throughout New England. He
has written and lectured extensively on employment law issues, and
has authored chapters in numerous books on employment and insurance
law. He is also a Vice President and Director of the International
Society of Primerus Law Firms and Past President of the Boston University
School of Law Alumni Association. Bennett is also the Secretary
of the American Bar Association’s Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice
Section.
